Started in 2004 in St. Paul, The Center for Irish Music teaches Irish music to students of all ages and levels on fiddle, flute, tin whistle, bodhran, guitar, piano and song. The Center offers private and group lessons many nights of the week including ensemble classes and a monthly family session. Aside from taking classes, students have performance opportunities at recitals and with ensembles. The Center's student base comes from the metro area, greater Minnesota and western Wisconsin - including Austin, Elk River, Red Wing, Rochester, Wabasha, Winona, and Hudson, Wisconsin to name a few.
All of our teachers are professional musicians with extensive teaching and performing experience. In addition to the phenomenal regional talent we share with you, The Center works with internationally renowned Irish musicians to join us in teaching the students in specialized workshops and in our monthly family sessions.
