Policy

The Center for Irish Music does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, sexual orientation, national or ethnic origin, religion, age, disability or any other status protected by law in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, financial aid policies, employment and other school-administrated programs. Upon request, the Center for Irish Music will provide reasonable accommodation to individuals with disabilities to allow individuals with disabilities to participate in all Center for Irish Music services, programs and activities.

The Center for Irish Music has a designated coordinator to facilitate compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), as required by Section 35.107 of the U.S. Department of Justice regulations, and to coordinate compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as mandated by Section 8.53 of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development regulations.

Facility Accessibility

The Center for Irish Music is located at Celtic Junction in St. Paul, which is a fully ADA-compliant facility to serve patrons with disabilities. Accessibility features include ADA-accessible bathrooms on the main and second floor, street-level ADA-entry doors at the front and rear of Celtic Junction, handicap accessible parking in the rear of Celtic Junction, and an internal ramp that leads from the large studio space (used for CIM concerts) to the main lobby. In addition, Celtic Junction has an ADA lift from the main level lobby to the Center for Irish Music space on the second floor.

The Center occupies the second floor of Celtic Junction. The second floor features classrooms, a waiting area, handicap-accessible bathroom, and a kitchenette area for students who may require these facilities.

Parking for the building is on-street, or in two adjacent, free parking lots. There is designated handicap parking in the rear. The Center is accessible to pedestrians with a drop off driveway in front of the ADA-compliant entry door, and a cut-in from the curb.
