Demo Schedule

2:30 pm, Introduction to Tin Whistle with Norah Rendell (All ages), outdoor stage
Also known as penny whistle, tin whistle, or feadóg stáin, this beautiful (and affordable) little instrument is a perfect gateway into traditional Irish music.

3:00 pm, Introduction to Irish Harp with Hannah Flowers (All ages), multipurpose room
Harper Hannah Flowers is freshly back from Ireland and ready to share the unique beauty of Ireland's national instrument.

3:30 pm, Learn a Song in Irish Gaelic with Dáithí Sproule (All ages), outdoor stage
Dáithí Sproule will teach you a traditional song and share his approach to guitar accompaniment. All ages are welcome!

4:00 pm, Introduction to Uilleann Pipes with Seán Gavin (All ages), multipurpose room
Join award-winning uilleann piper Seán Gavin for an introduction to this iconic Irish instrument.

We're looking for volunteers to help with set-up, clean-up, greeting, and more at the Open House! Click here to view the sign-up.

Location & Additional Details

Depending on weather, the Open House will take place outdoors on the Celtic Junction Outdoor Stage, behind the Celtic Junction building, and in the Center for Irish Music multipurpose room. In the case of inclement weather, the event will take place inside. Please note that masks are required at all times while inside the building.
