Experience the Center for Irish Music’s inaugural Ceol agus Craic (pronounced ky-ohl agus crack), meaning “Music and Fun”!
Join us for an unforgettable afternoon of traditional Irish music, featuring hands-on workshops, an open session, and plenty of opportunities to learn, play, and connect. Whether you’re brand-new to Irish music or a current student eager to try something different, Ceol agus Craic offers something for everyone.
Event Highlights:

- 75-minute introductory workshops in whistle, fiddle, song and sean-nós dance
- Irish session at 2:15pm led by CIM instructors and community musicians — free and open to all, so bring your instrument! Don’t worry if you don’t know the tunes - you can still participate by listening over a cup of tea and a chat.
- A workshop featuring the new MIM 2025 Common Tunes resource for tune players

- Introduction to Irish Fiddle for Violinists, with Mary Vanorny - FULL!
- Introduction to the Irish Tin Whistle, with Norah Rendell
- Introduction to Sean-nós Dance, with Anna Lethert

- All are welcome to play, or just hang out!

- Irish Songs with Minnesota History, with Brian Miller
- Introduction to the Minnesota Irish Music Weekend Common Tunes, with Norah Rendell
