Common Tunes Session Online

This July, join fiddler Mary Vanorny for a late 'happy hour' session on Wednesdays at 7:15 pm CST, focusing on the Center for Irish Music’s Common Tunes repertoire, as found on our website: https://www.centerforirishmusic.org/resources.

We'll meet on Zoom and Mary will lead sets from the Common Tunes at a moderate tempo.  All participants will be muted during the sets except for the leader, so you can play along in the privacy of your own home! All levels of tune players are encouraged, and you are welcome to volunteer to lead a set. This is a great way to really layer on your tune learning, and get to know these tunes so that you are comfortable with them. Drop in at any time!

If tuition is an obstacle that would prevent you from registering, please contact Lily Gaetgaeow (lgaetgaeow@centerforirishmusic.org) to get signed up for the session.

Open to all students. There are no prerequisites or private lesson requirements for this class.  Class will meet at 7:15 pm on the following days: July 6, July 13, July 20, and July 27.

Please be sure to register by Friday, July 1 so Mary can email out the Zoom link for classes.
