Congratulations Midwest Fleadh Competitors!

It’s been a busy couple of weeks since the CIM students, families, and many instructors returned from a wonderful weekend at the Midwest Regional Fleadh Cheoil in St. Louis. All of the CIM instructors were blown away by the performances of all our students who competed. Each of them displayed an immense dedication and passion for Irish Traditional Music through articulate and sensitive performances. We couldn’t be more proud! 

Special thanks to all the instructors and parents who have helped their students grow into mature musicians and performers despite all the challenges over the past couple of years. All the competitors should be incredibly proud of their achievements this year, regardless of whether or not they went home with a medal. After all, as flute judge Marcas Ó Murchú was fond of reminding us, you can buy yourself a medal at any shop! You can’t buy the passion and dedication displayed this past weekend by all the performers in St. Louis.
